That's what we needed: I think that paying the single ticket isn't sometime worthy for some attraction but the London ticket prices was fair enough.

  • Types of tickets: Located in central London in the Greenwich area, Up at The O2 is a popular activity for adventure-seekers. You can book a Daytime Climb, a Sunset or Twilight Climb, a Friday Night Climb, or a combo ticket to other nearby attractions like the London Eye.
  • What’s included: Your ticket includes either a daytime, sunset, or twilight climb, an experienced guide accompanying you on the climb, and climbing gear, including a jacket, shoes, harness, and other safety equipment.
  • Timed entry: Note that all tickets are timed, no matter what climb you choose. Please arrive at least 15 mins before your scheduled time slot so as not to miss your experience.
  • Summer Sessions: Every Friday night from July 25 to Aug 29, 2025, you can head up to the top of The O2, enjoy a premium cocktail or mocktail along with a live DJ session with Friday Night Climb tickets. Get an extended 25 mins on the roof and relax at this adult-only event.
  • Combo tickets: Combo tickets allow you to visit an attraction or experience at a discounted price in addition to your Up at The O2 experience. Choose between combo tickets to the London Eye or a flexible sightseeing Thames River cruise.
  • Best time to go: Daytime Climbs are suitable for families rather than a tiring experience in the evening and for tourists who want to fit the climb into a busy sightseeing schedule. Witness the sky transform into a palette of colors, providing a picturesque backdrop and a romantic ambiance ideal for couples on a Sunset Climb. However, sunset climbs might be more crowded, so plan accordingly. The Twilight Climb is ideal for those who want to experience the city in a quieter, more serene atmosphere. You can see landmarks illuminated, including the Thames reflecting the city lights.
  • Restrictions: Visitors must be above the age of 8 years, must be over 1.2m in height, and must weigh no more than 21 stone/130 kg/286 lbs. Pregnant women and those with epilepsy are not allowed to participate in the climb. 
  • Accessibility: For a wheelchair-accessible activity, try the wheelchair climb at Up at The O2. These climbs only occur on specific dates and are in high demand. 
  • Weather conditions: Climbs at Up at The O2 are conducted in various weather conditions, excluding gales, lightning, heavy snow or ice, or extreme conditions deemed unsafe for climbing.

  • Safety briefings & equipment: You will be provided with safety briefings to make the most of your experience. Visitors will be provided with a harness and climb shoes included in the O2 Climb tickets. Jackets and Gilets are also available on request. 
  • Storage facility: You can leave your large bags at the storage facility just outside the main entrance (£10 per bag).
  • Parking facilities: Car parks 2, 3, and 4 are available for all non-event parking needs, including Up at The O2. All parking areas have payment machines that accept cash or cards, and there’s no need to book a space before you arrive.
  • Medical rooms: The O2 has 3 medical rooms, one outside block 113, one outside 413, and one just behind the main stage for guests who have general admission standing tickets.
  • Wi-Fi: The O2 has hotspots for both O2 Wi-Fi and the Cloud.

  • The climb may pose challenges for individuals with certain disabilities. For a wheelchair-accessible activity, try the wheelchair climb at Up at The O2. Using a pulley system, specialized guides will pull you up and over the walkway in a wheelchair. These climbs only occur on specific dates and are in high demand.   • Restrictions: You must be at least 8 years old, 1.2m tall, weigh no more than 130 kg/286 lbs, and not have a waist measurement of more than 125cm or an upper thigh measurement of more than 75cm to do the climb.
  • Pregnant women: Pregnant women are not permitted to do the O2 Climb.
  • Medical conditions: If you have had an epileptic seizure in the past 12 months, climbing is not suitable for you. Check with the Box Office if you have any health conditions related to vertigo, pre-existing physical injuries, or congenital defects. Guests should be in good health and prepared for a moderate level of exertion.
  • Children: An adult must accompany children under 18 years to do the O2 Climb.
  • What’s not allowed: Mobile phones are allowed during the climb and can only be used on the viewing platform. Other belongings must be kept in the locker. Smartphones and small cameras are allowed; GoPros and larger cameras are not allowed.
  • When to arrive: Arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. Late arrivals will not be admitted. In these cases, tickets will not be exchanged or refunded.
  • Drinking: Climbers must be sober during the climb.
  • ID: You are required to bring a photo ID for verification. Any ID with a clear picture of the individual on it will suffice.

  • Avoid clothing that restricts your movement, obstructs your vision, leads to overheating in warm weather, or becomes entangled in the safety equipment. 
  • Skirts and dresses are not allowed.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing suitable for the weather. 
  • We recommend jeans, trousers or shorts rather than skirts or dresses because you’ll be wearing a harness. 
  • The staff will provide you with climb shoes for all climbers, but you can also wear your own shoes on the climb if they have velcro or laced fastening, are deep-tread walking shoes/boots, and are clean and mud-free on the soles/tread to not damage the walkway.
  • You must wear socks.

  • Avoid eating a heavy, greasy meal before your O2 Climb experience. You can have a light meal like a sandwich or a smoothie.
  • The first set of stairs is fairly easy to climb; however, the actual incline is pretty steep. So, if you have back pain or trouble with your knees, the O2 Climb might not be your cup of tea. 
  • The O2 is a cashless venue, so you will need to use your cards. However, you can still use cash at the restaurants and bars outside the arena.
  • Head to one of the customer service desks outside block 101 on level 1 or block 410 on level 4, and the staff will store your buggy until after the climb.

The entire experience takes about 90 minutes to complete. The first part includes your briefing and time to get into your climb gear. The climb will take approximately an hour, depending on the speed of the group.

What should I do if my Up at The O2 climb is canceled?

You can either book yourself in for the next available climb for free or if no other slots are suitable, you will get a refund.

Can I still climb if I have a fear of heights?

Yes, but do note that Up at The O2 is 52m high and involves an ascent and descent of up to 30 degrees. Once you’ve started the climb, you have to complete it. However, your guide will be with you the whole way and is trained to help you complete the climb. There is also a rescue team on site for anyone who requires extra assistance. If you're scared or worried you will not be able to climb, you will not be given a refund, so choose carefully before you book your tickets.

What happens in case of bad weather?

If a climb is canceled due to the weather, a rebooking or refund will be provided. Confirm the climb's operational status in case of adverse weather, ensuring a seamless experience.

Can I carry my medication on the climb?

Yes, your guide will carry essential medication like inhalers, insulin, and nourishment for you.
